RIFT is a queer and female-owned and operated organization that's dedicated to creating an inclusive space in the outdoor industry for both cis women and the queer community - particularly trans, femme, and non-binary individuals - to network, progress, and create community while moving beyond the “intermediate plateau” in mountain biking and downhill skiing while also creating long-lasting community. We aren't just a women's group, we aren't just a queer group - we're for everyone.

We are a *collective* who believes we are all better together and that we can build power through play that transfers into our day to day lives.

 

We want to redefine the historical standard of inclusivity in outdoor sports by creating a badass community that anyone would be proud to join. We will use our collective power to pioneer a new era within the outdoor industry and beyond - in legislation, advocacy, and community that inspires innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability for all. We want to make change not only in the outdoor industry, but across social and political issues as well. As we build confidence in our athletic ability, we build confidence about our space in the world, and our ability to speak up about what we believe in. We feel passionately about making everyone feel safe in the outdoor industry and everywhere else!
